After obtaining a master degree in accessories design from Domus Academy in Milan, Margherita Abi-Hanna moved back to Lebanon in 2010 and launched her own line of contemporary jewelry and leather accessories. Her self-named brand Margherita strives to create unique, bold designs, carefully hand-crafted by Lebanese artisans. Margherita’s designs incorporate architectural lines through different material, offering hand made, timeless items.
Her debut collection was selected for the 2010-2011 season of Starch, a foundation and boutique that aims to promote young designers, founded by renown Lebanese fashion designer Rabih Kayrouz. Margherita was also a finalist in the ITS 2012 Jewelry competition held in collaboration with Swarovski in Trieste. Her work has since been featured in many fashion publications including Deanna Farneti Cera’s book “Fashion Jewellery: Made in Italy”.
