When still a student, the young Artém demonstrated creative qualities and an avant-garde vision in all that he set out to do. His end of degree project received a very high grade and the recognition of the examining panel and professionals working in the field. The reason: a collection of men’s moccasins inspired by the traditions and indigenous culture of North America.
Khudoroshkov claims that “nowadays inspiration can be found as much in what we have around us, as in the most surprising and unusual things in life, such as nature and architecture, modern and classical art, the crafts, culture and traditions of peoples around the world.” He confesses that had he not been a designer, he would be an architect. For this reason, in each of his creations a subtle connection with structures, proportions, lines and forms can be seen.
Having been in Madrid, the designer has settled his centre of operations in Barcelona, where he develops his designs at the present time. An important part of his artistic and creative development has been learning about the tradition and craftsmanship in leather in Spain. The spirit of the Mediterranean has brought more colours and expressivity to his designs.
Khudoroshkov’s latest collection of shoes and bags brings leather together with more adventurous and innovative materials.
The result has gained Artém Atelier a well-deserved position among the best designers of accessories in the international panorama.
